Birth and Growth of FSS

Since the Order of Servants of Mary is founded by the married brothers, there was the third order Congregation from the beginning itself. Wherever there were the Servites, there were the Third order too. Even in our Congregations, in 1865 sisters are joined as third order personally. Those who work with such as teachers, students and lay people who interested to join, in our service and spirituality are chosen to to bring up the Organization named "Friends of Servite Sisters" (FSS).

In 1996, 15th September then Superior Generla Sr. Corona Mary OSm talked about this to the teachers. Accordingly on Deceber 8th nearly 75 teachers joined an an aspirants. Once a month there was an meeting in which Seminar on the history of the Congregation, Spirituality, Bible, Women, problems of the society are given. And they took part in Sharing their visions too. After an year, when Fr. General og the Order of Servants of Mary arrived India, They took vows. They divided into three groups for Women's liberation, Prayer and children and went to jail to share their experiances and felt their neccesity of teacherhood.

In 1996 FSS youth wings has started for he young students of our Institutions. When Servite General came, they took part in sessions and shared their point of views.
