Education

Our beginnings were rather humble and full of trials and tribulations. But the Lord steeled us against any adversities and guided us through. We slowly founded Kindergartens, Grade Schools and High Schools for the most Underprivileged Girls, also Creches for babies, hostels for the grownup and of course showered on them tons of love. We took these downtrodden Girls through Grade School, High School, Vocational School, then found them jobs and finally settled them in marriage. At the same time, we equipped our own Sisters with excellent education for teaching in Kindergartens, Grade Schools and High Schools

As time passed, we began to build a strong base for the uplift of Women in our Society, as desired by our Mother. Mother NATCHATRAM was very particular that we do everything possible to raise the status of Women, particularly through education at all levels. So in the next phase, from the nineteen thirties, we founded schools for the Middle classes too and even founded a College with Undergraduate and Graduate studies for the Underprivileged Girls and the Middle classes.

Special Education

We as Congregation of thousand Sisters have been scrupulously faithful to the noble ideal of our Mother Natchatram, that is Education of the Most Underprivileged Girls and the uplift of Women. As moved forward in spite of so many obstacles, we felt that we must serve also the Socially Underprivileged e.g."UNTOUCHABLES" (the lowest rung of the Indian Society), the "Biologically" Underprivileged like the BLIND and the Handicapped in SPEECH AND HEARING

Blind School is in Paravai - Justin Nagar, Madurai. School for the Handicapped in Speech and Hearing is in Ponmalaipatti, Trichy
